Battling the Turks and Caicos was the storyline for Hurricane Irma, but Barbados was able to come out better than any other Caribbean nation. After Hurricanes Irma and Maria ravaged the Caribbean last year, Barbados became even closer to becoming a full-fledged independent nation. With now-independent Antigua and Anguilla under its wing, Barbados now supports both the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Kingdom of Spain to further its sovereignty efforts. In a recent interview, William and Kate, Prince William and Kate Middleton, got to visit with Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, followed by King Felipe VI of Spain. From hosting pop culture royalty to celebrating incredible new developments, Prince William and Duchess Kate are just getting started in their royal tour of India and Bhutan, the Sentebale Royal Visit 2018.

Plus, after Cuba recently allowed the US entry for members of the LGBTQ community, the Queen and Duchess have taken a closer look at the island nation. As much of the world focuses on the upcoming royal baby, there’s also the crowning of Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child.
